Given our vast ensemble of industry experts, we undertake market research and consultancy on behalf of clients in branding, marketing strategy, sales/trade marketing strategy, consumer understanding, customer segmentation, brand health, customer experience, employer branding/employee engagement, among others. UMS also occasionally conducts self-funded studies on themes of universal interest and publishes the findings for the good of the wider industry.
UMS also conducts clinics to offer advice to start-ups and budding businesses. This is in addition to the mentorship program, where experienced members are paired up with mentees who are either looking to begin a career in marketing or considering a switch in careers, etc.; the mentor is then able to offer insight, advice, and new ways of thinking that have an incredible impact on the mentee. This is geared at developing the mentee’s knowledge and confidence that helps to accelerate one’s development and embrace opportunities that push them outside of their comfort zones.
