Robert Ebo Hinson is a Professor and Head of the Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship at the University of Ghana Business School. He is an Extraordinary Professor at the North West University School of Business and Governance in South Africa. Robert holds an MBA, a Chartered Institute of Marketing UK Professional Qualification; and two doctorate degrees; one in Marketing from the University of Ghana; and a second in International Business from Aalborg University in Denmark.

Professor Hinson has twenty-two years of Marketing, Communications and Service Excellence teaching, training and consultancy experience having worked for Ghana’s leading advertising agency (at the time), Origin8 from 1998-2003. Robert has provided, as a consequence brand communications, strategic marketing and service excellence advice and training for clients such as Access Bank, Zenith Bank Ghana, the erstwhile UniBan Ghana Limited Bank of Ghana, Omni BSIC, Ecobank Ghana Limited, Prudential Bank Limited, Barclays, UNOPS/UNDP, Standard Chartered Bank, Société Générale Ghana Limited, Stanbic Ghana Ltd, the erstwhile Merchant Bank, Databank, Enterprise Insurance Company Limited, First Atlantic Bank, Fidelity Group, NIB Bank Limited, Bank of Africa, Star Assurance Company Limited, Lufthansa, Microsoft, Mercedes Benz, Peugeot, Steers (to name a few).

Professor Hinson chairs the board of Telemedia Communications and sits on several other boards including; BUSAC Fund in Ghana, Camelot Company Limited (a listed company), Star Life Company Limited, and the International Advisory Board of YouthSave – a consortium project that was committed to developing, delivering, and testing savings products accessible to low-income youth in Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, and Nepal.
