Notice of Annual General Meeting 2023

The UMS Secretariat is pleased to invite you to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the year
2023. The AGM is a significant event in our organization’s calendar, providing an opportunity to
reflect on our accomplishments, discuss future plans, and make crucial decisions.

Details of the meeting are as follows:
Date: Saturday 15 July 2023
Time: 10.00 am to 12.00 noon
Venue: Hotel Africana

Agenda:
1. Welcome and opening remarks from the Board Chair.
2. Review of the minutes from the previous AGM
3. Presentation of the 2022 Annual Report by the Secretary-General
4. Financial report by the Director of Finances
5. Presentation of the 2022 audit report
6. Discussion of the society’s achievements and challenges by the VP
7. Any other business
8. Closing remarks from the President

Your presence and participation in the AGM are crucial as your insights and opinions will contribute to shaping the future direction of the Uganda Marketers Society. Additionally, this event provides an excellent opportunity to network with fellow professionals in the marketing industry.

To ensure a smooth and successful meeting, we kindly request you to confirm your attendance by 14 July 2023. This will assist us in making the necessary arrangements for seating,
refreshments, and any other logistical requirements. In case you are unable to attend, please consider providing a proxy to represent you and exercise your voting rights.
