The second annual African Marketing Confederation (AMC) Conference will be held under the theme “Africa’s $3.4 trillion Economy: Opportunities for Marketers”, the organizers have announced.

The highly anticipated second edition of the African Marketers Conference is set to take place in Uganda from the 6th to the 9th of September at the prestigious Imperial Botanical Beach Hotel in Entebbe, Uganda. This year’s conference will delve into the theme, “Africa’s $3.4 Trillion Economy: Opportunities for Marketers.”

Rich in natural resources and with a population of over 1.3 billion people, Africa is an attractive market for
marketers seeking new ventures. This conference aims to showcase the untapped potential of Africa’s vast
market, providing attendees with valuable insights and tools to explore new business opportunities. Compelling keynote speeches, interactive sessions and panel discussions will equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to tap into Africa’s unique market.

Marketing specialists and practitioners across the continent are urged to attend, including chief marketing officers and vice presidents of marketing; marketing directors, analysts, coordinators, managers and consultants; marketing and promotions managers, digital marketers and data specialists.

The three-day conference will give attendees the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking keynote sessions, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and networking activities. Renowned marketing experts and influential speakers will share their insights, best practices, and success stories, providing valuable knowledge and strategies to navigate Africa’s ever-evolving marketing ecosystem.

This year’s AMC Conference will be hosted by the Uganda Marketers Society (UMS), the leading organization for marketing professionals in Uganda. The UMS is responsible for professional skills development, and promoting professional marketing standards and practices, including offering membership categories for individuals, corporates and SMEs (small and medium enterprises). The society also undertakes market research and consultancy.

David Balikuddembe, President of the Uganda Marketers Society expressed that hosting the African Marketing Confederation brings immense opportunities for Uganda and its marketers as it positions Uganda as a destination for marketing excellence and fosters international collaborations and partnerships. “Corporations are invited to register their marketing teams and enjoy early bird offers. They get to save 15% on payments made before July 15th and 10% before August 15th, 2023,” he added.

The AMC is a pioneering Pan-African body of marketing professionals striving to promote and maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and integrity among the marketing fraternity of the continent. As the umbrella body for African marketing associations, institutes and organizations, the AMC is unifying the bodies in various countries. It is uniquely positioned to facilitate the exchange of expertise, information and intellectual capital by providing a platform to grow and support marketing leaders in Africa.

AMC President, Helen Mclntee says that the AMC’s annual conference is fast establishing itself as the “must attend” event for marketing professionals in Africa. “We have once again booked a range of exceptional speakers who will be covering diverse and important marketing and marketing-related topics. African marketers should not miss this exceptional opportunity to gain new skills and network with marketing professionals from across the continent,” she stresses.
